How is the Art Factory radiator made?The Art Factory radiator consists of a flat, thin steel plate with steel pipes welded on the back, through which hot water circulates.

Is the Art Factory radiator produced in different thicknesses?Yes. Vertical models are available in 3 thicknesses: 67 – 71 – 103 mm Horizontal models: 67 – 101 – 158 mm

Can the Art Factory radiator replace aluminium radiators without changing the pipe layout?Yes. The Art Factory radiator includes special models designed to replace aluminium radiators without modifying existing pipework, thus avoiding hydraulic or masonry work.

How does the front plate heat up?Hot water flows through the rear pipes, transferring heat to the front plate, which then radiates warmth evenly throughout the room thanks to its special design.

How many connections does the Art Factory radiator have?It comes with 6 standard connections: two at the top, two at the bottom, and two central with a fixed 50 mm centre distance.

What’s the difference between the radiator thicknesses?Art Factory radiators are engineered to provide high heat output with minimal bulk. Thicker models contain more tubes, allowing greater hot water circulation and therefore higher thermal output.

Are there sharp edges on the radiators?No. Art Factory radiators are designed for domestic use, featuring rounded corners and side panels secured with screws.

What material is the radiator made of?Steel, both for the plate and for the internal tubes.

How do I know which model suits my room?You’ll need to know the room size (in m²), insulation quality, exposure, and geographic location to select the right dimensions and power output.

What are Watts?Watts measure the amount of heat a radiator can emit. The higher the Watts, the greater the heat output.

What are Kcal?Kcal are an older unit of heat measurement. 1 Kcal = approximately 1.16 Watts.

What is “centre distance”?It’s the distance (in mm) between the flow and return water pipes.

How is the radiator connected to the heating system?Each radiator usually has a valve and a lockshield. The valve controls water flow, influencing heat output. The lockshield balances water distribution between radiators and should only be adjusted by the installer. Modern systems often use thermostatic valves that automatically regulate temperature.

Should I install a vertical or horizontal radiator?Besides heating, the radiator is part of the interior décor. In rooms with high ceilings, a vertical model is ideal; where horizontal space is limited, vertical is also recommended.

What warranty does the Art Factory radiator have?15 years on the radiator, 2 years on decorative films (if installed by certified personnel).

CUSTOMISATION – FILM – MAINTENANCE

How is the radiator customised?The design is printed on a special polymeric PVC film, which rests for 24 hours, is then laminated with a transparent protective layer, and finally applied to the radiator.

What material is used for the film?A white polymeric PVC film, laminated with a transparent polymeric layer.

How long does the applied film last?With proper care, indoor polymeric films can last over 10 years.

Can I use my own image?Yes. Clients can send a high-resolution image file to be printed and applied to the radiator.

Can a real mirror be mounted on the Art Factory radiator?Yes. A true mirror, 4 mm thick, can cover the entire flat surface of the radiator.

Can I have a chalkboard finish?Absolutely. The chalkboard finish—one of our bestsellers—lets you write with coloured chalks. Ideal for kitchens, children’s rooms, cafés, and B&Bs.

Are magnetic covers available?Yes. We’ve essentially created “clothing” for your radiator. You can change its look anytime with a magnetic front cover—perfect for special occasions, seasonal décor, or commercial use as a menu board.

What if I live in a building with central heating and heat cost allocators?Heat cost allocators must be installed on each radiator to measure individual energy consumption. These devices are mounted by building technicians and cannot be hidden, as they must remain visible for accurate readings.

Does the film fade over time?Slightly, but thanks to polymeric lamination and the lack of direct sunlight exposure, fading is minimal even after many years.

Can the film be replaced?Yes, but replacement should be performed by a trained technician.

Can the film be scratched?Normal wear (cleaning) is fine, but impacts can leave marks.

How should the radiator and film be cleaned?Use standard domestic cleaning products, including alcohol-based ones. Avoid solvents or acidic cleaners.

How to clean the surface film?Use soft paper towels, microfibre cloths, or non-abrasive sponges.

Is the radiator guaranteed?Yes, all Art Factory radiators have a 15-year warranty.

WARRANTY – RETURNS – CLAIMS

What should I do if the radiator is visibly damaged on delivery?Before signing any document, check the packaging. If damaged, note on the delivery form: “ACCEPTED WITH RESERVATION – VISIBLE DAMAGE TO PACKAGING.” Do not sign the courier’s device without this note.

How do I file a claim regarding product or film quality?Contact your trusted reseller and provide clear photos showing the installed radiator and the reported issue.
