How is the Art Factory plate radiator made?

Is the Art Factory radiator manufactured with different thicknesses?

Yes, the Art Factory vertical/horizontal radiator comes with 3 different thicknesses:

71-94-126 mm for vertical models
90-124-181 mm for horizontal models

Can the Art Factory radiator have the center distances for replacing aluminum radiators?

Yes, the Art Factory radiator has special measures that allow the aluminum radiators to be replaced without modifying the pipes and therefore do not require plumbing and masonry work.

The models in question have the following dimensions:
Heights 600mm with double center distance 540mm on the left and 500mm on the right

Heights 700mm with double center distance 640mm left and 600mm right
To have the attachment on the left with aluminum center distance H 500/600mm, you must apply when ordering.

How does the front plate heat up?

The pipes located in the rear part are crossed by the hot water from the heating system. In turn they transmit the heat to the front plate, which spreads it, thanks to its specific design, uniformly in the environment

How many connections does the Art Factory radiator have

The Art Factory radiator is equipped with 6 standard connections, 2 of which are placed at the top on the sides, two at the bottom, two central ones with a fixed center distance of 50mm

What is the difference between the thicknesses of the Art Factory radiator?

Art Factory radiators have been engineered in order to provide high thermal yields in the presence of the smallest possible footprint, the range includes various thicknesses which allow in the same space to have radiators with very high thermal yields in the face of a greater thickness

The greater thermal yield is obtained thanks to the fact that there are a greater number of pipes inside the radiator which allow the hot water to circulate and therefore emit more heat.

Are there sharp edges in the radiators?

No, Art Factory plate radiators are manufactured for use in domestic environments and are therefore equipped with rounded corners and screwed sides.

What material is the Art Factory plate radiator made of?

Steel, both for the plate and for the pipes.

How do I know which model of radiator is needed for my environment?

The main parameters are:
To best optimize the dimensions of the radiator, it is necessary to know the surface area in square meters of the room, plus some parameters, such as, for example, thermal insulation, room exposure, geographical position.

What are Watts?

Watts are a unit of measurement for the amount of heat that the radiator can supply. The greater the number of Watts, the greater the quantity of heat supplied by the radiator

What are calories?

Kcal are a unit of measurement used in the past and remained in common use for historical reasons. One Kcal equals approximately 1.16 Watts

What is wheelbase?

is the distance expressed in mm between the hot water delivery pipe and the return pipe.

How is the radiator connected to the heating circuit?

Normally there is a valve and a holder. The valve serves to regulate the flow of water passing through the radiator. The more water that passes through, the greater the amount of heat emitted by the radiator. The holder has the purpose of balancing the flow of water between the various radiators in the house. The valve can be recognized because it has a knob that can be adjusted by hand. The holder has a cover under which there is a screw. The lockshield should not normally be tampered with, it is adjusted by the plumber during installation. The valve can be opened/closed by hand in order to increase/decrease the heat flow generated by the radiator. In more modern installations, the regulations require the use of thermostatic valves. These are equipped with graduated scales or displays on which to set the desired temperature. Once the temperature has been set, the valve autonomously increases/decreases the water flow in order to maintain the desired temperature

Should I install a vertical or horizontal development radiator?

The installation of a heating body is now part of the home furnishings; therefore, in addition to expressing the heating function, the Art Factory radiator is also part of the furniture, being completely customizable according to the desired furnishing style. Of course, in an environment with very high ceilings, it is advisable to install a vertical radiator, the same applies if you have limited horizontal space available

What guarantee does the Art Factory plate radiator have

Art Factory radiators have a 15-year guarantee, provided they are installed by certified personnel, while the guarantee on the films is 2 years

How is the customization of the radiator done?
in the first phase the material is printed on a special film, then, after letting the material rest for 24 hours, it is laminated with a transparent protective film and finally the printed film is coupled to the radiator

what material is used for the customization?
the print is done on a white polymeric pvc film and laminated with the corresponding transparent polymeric material

How long does the film glued to the radiator last?
if properly treated, a polymeric film in an internal environment is able to resist even beyond 10 years

Can I customize the image on my Art Factory radiator?
certainly, the customer can send his own high resolution image file to print it on the film and then apply it to the radiator

Is it possible to mount a real mirror on the art Factory radiator?
the Art Factory radiator can mount a full-height real mirror with a thickness of 4mm, which completely covers the flat surface of the radiator

Can I have a writable blackboard finish film col chalk?
Certainly, the film with a blackboard finish that can be written on with colored chalk is one of our best sellers, and is particularly suitable for kitchens, children's bedrooms or commercial businesses

I read that you can have magnetic covers ??
That's right, we basically invented the radiator dress, so you can change the “look” of your Art Factory radiator any time you want. Thanks to the Magnetic cover you can cover your Art Factory radiator with a magnetic film that is unrolled on the front surface, thus changing the graphics for special occasions, for specific events, to use it as a menu in your business etc.. etc..

How can I do if I live in a condominium with central heating and I have to install the "heat meters" ??
heat meters are those devices installed on radiators to measure energy consumption for each room. The installation of these devices is mandatory in centralized condominium heating systems, these devices are mounted by technicians chosen by the condominium for boiler management and fixed to the radiator in a central position using special screws or industrial adhesives with a strong anti-tampering grip. These devices cannot be hidden from view so there is no way to minimize the visual impact of the object which will overlap the chosen image

Does the film used fade over time?
the inks used for printing have a progressive natural reduction, but with the polymer lamination and the lack of exposure to direct sunlight, the discoloration is minimal even after so many years

Can the used film be replaced?
Yes, but you need to have adequate technical skills for the correct removal and application of the new print

Can the film used be scratched?
Yes, lamination offers protection against normal wear (cleaning) but it tends to scratch on impacts

What product do you recommend to clean the radiator and the film?
the films applied to the radiator can be cleaned with normal household cleaning products (including alcohol). Avoid the use of products containing solvents or aggressive acids.

How to clean the surface where the film is
you can use soft paper cloths, microfiber cloths, non-abrasive sponges

What should I do in the event of obvious damage to the radiator due to transport?

Upon delivery by the courier, check that the packaging is intact and that there are no signs of transport damage, before signing any document, in the event of damage, report it and write a note on the delivery note with the wording " ACCEPTED SUBJECT TO INSPECTION, CLEAR DAMAGE TO THE PACKAGING ", DO NOT sign any documents or put your signature on the device supplied to the couriers

What should I do to make a complaint about the quality of the radiator and film?

Contact your trusted dealer and show photographs relating to the complaint which clearly show where the radiator is installed and what damage it has.
